Frameworks
McKinsey 7S framework
Seven parts of an organization that must fit together.
Facts checked against sources onWhat does McKinsey 7S framework mean?
The 7S model, from around 1980, says an organization works well when seven elements fit: strategy, structure, systems, shared values, style, staff and skills. It is a checklist, not a diagnosis. In a case, start from the performance number that slipped, find the process behind it, then ask which part of the organization caused it.
