So what drill
Every partner asks it: so what? Read a few numbers from a real business situation, then write what they mean and what to do, in one or two sentences and 40 words or fewer.
How it works
A round is 4 short situations: a cost going up, a price cut, a margin target, a profit table, an investment or a growth move. The numbers come from the industry briefs and from fact sets in local currency for Canada, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and Korea, Hong Kong and mainland China, Africa and Latin America. Each answer gets five checks:
- Answer first: the first sentence says what it means or what to do
- Uses a number from the facts
- Names the action or decision
- Short: one or two sentences, 40 words or fewer
- No hedging filler (maybe, I think, it seems)
Example: “Contribution falls 15 percent, from INR 60 to INR 51 an order, so raise the delivery fee by INR 9 before the rider pay rise lands.”
